Practically grew up playing the piano as I began taking lesson as age six, but was never much good until I got “interesting” music to play, such as works by Franz Liszt. Still, I never practiced enough to be a concert pianist. Once we moved to California in November ’05, I had no friends and no one to play for, and lost the motivation.
Now I really enjoy Gershwin and Rachmaninoff, in addition to Liszt. I also have Shostakovich’s piano preludes, which provide a nice change of pace. Prokofiev has some fun works to play, as well.
Here is a short clip of something I wrote: Not so good. It’s in .wma format.
